About The Position

Yamaha Motor Finance Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Vendor Management Specialist. This position will assist in the onboarding, monitoring, and evaluation of third-party service providers. They will support the team in conducting risk assessments and due diligence reviews of potential vendors, working closely with business process owners, the Legal/Compliance team, and the Information Security team. They will support management as well as support ongoing updates of the Vendor Management portfolio, working closely with senior team members and subject matter experts (SMEs).

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
  • Minimum 1 year of Vendor Management experience required.
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project and PowerPoint is required. Understanding of reporting databases ;SQL familiarity preferred.
  • Effective communication skills including experience in presenting to senior management teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Experience in developing and publishing MIS reports and Vendor scorecards is preferred.
  • Financial analysis experience preferred.
  • Automobile/Power Sports Industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support vendor onboarding and lifecycle management by assisting with the setup and integration of third-party service providers, performing initial risk assessments, gathering and organizing due diligence documentation, and reviewing vendor contracts and compliance records to ensure all required information is collected and properly documented.
  • Help update and maintain the Vendor Management Portfolio under the supervision of senior staff. Ensure all vendor records are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with ongoing monitoring and evaluating vendor performance and compliance with company standards, including tracking adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), preparing reports on vendor risk levels, and escalating concerns to senior staff when necessary.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, the Business Unit, Legal & Compliance, Vendor Management Team and YMUS Information Security Team to ensure key elements of the contract align with regulatory and YMFUS requirements. Assist the Business unit in negotiating pricing.
  • Supporting the enhancement of Vendor Management workspace by contributing to the design, implementation, maintenance and optimization of the designated vendor management platform(s) for efficiently managing and tracking vendors.
  • Set up and maintain system configurable user workflows, tables, reports, and profiles as required to support business user needs for both originations and servicing platforms.
  • Interface with Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis groups to ensure accurate financial reporting by servicing Vendors.
