The Specialist, Vendor Performance Management at T-Mobile is responsible for managing communications and coordination of key activities between T-Mobile and its vendors, enhancing interactions and transactions. This role implements a structured framework for vendor management, ensuring vendors meet contractual obligations, performance metrics, and service standards. In addition to strengthening business relationships and driving operational excellence, this role places a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making. The Specialist leverages analytics to monitor vendor performance, identify trends, and optimize value delivery. By developing performance dashboards, conducting deep-dive analyses, and applying predictive models, the Specialist plays a critical role in improving service quality, financial outcomes, and vendor alignment with T-Mobile’s strategic objectives. Working closely with internal teams and leadership, the Specialist supports contract lifecycle management, risk mitigation, and cost optimization through robust quantitative analysis and supplier management best practices. This role is pivotal in ensuring that T-Mobile’s vendor ecosystem operates efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with business priorities.

  • Manages communications and coordination between T-Mobile and its vendors to enhance interactions, transactions and business relationship.
  • Develops and maintains dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time insights into vendor performance, service level adherence, and spend efficiency using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or SQL-based platforms.
  • Monitor and synthesize a variety of vendor metrics and KPIs, and effectively communicate analysis and insights to a wide range of audiences.
  • Implements a structured framework for vendor management, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
  • Develops metrics and implements improvement plans to boost vendor performance and productivity.
  • Optimizes value to T-Mobile and provides support to the vendor management team through effective supplier management strategies and streamlined processes.
  • Strengthens business relationships through diligent oversight and strategic supplier coordination.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Required)
  • 4-7 years Experience with vendor/partner relationships, managing communications and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. (Required)
  • 2-4 years Developing and implementing improvement plans for vendors to enhance performance and support strategic objectives. (Required)
  • 2-4 years Implementing and managing structured frameworks for vendor management to optimize performance metrics and productivity. (Required)
  • Leadership Ability to lead and influence both internal and external teams to achieve business objectives and improve vendor performance. (Required)
  • Strategic Thinking Capability to develop strategic approaches to vendor management that align with T-Mobile's overall business goals. (Required)
  • Vendor Management Expertise in managing effective business relationships and contracts to ensure compliance and performance metrics are met. (Required)
  • Cross Functional Relationships Ability to work effectively across different departments within T-Mobile to ensure cohesive vendor management strategies. (Required)
  • Analytics Ability to analyze vendor performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. (Required)
  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking vendor metrics. (Required)
  • Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively negotiate with and manage expectations of vendors. (Required)
  • Project Management Skills in managing projects related to vendor transitions, implementations, and performance evaluations. (Required)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Negotiation Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and manage contracts effectively with various vendors. (Preferred)
