About The Position

Sunwest Bank is seeking an experienced Vendor Management Manager to join our Compliance Team. This role is pivotal in managing key strategic third-party vendor and business partner relationships throughout their life cycle at the bank. The primary objective of the Vendor Management Manager is to ensure that the bank maintains an effective Vendor Management Program that complies with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the overall Vendor Management program, our Vendor/Contract software platforms, TPRM regulatory guidance, and the principles of strategic vendor management. In this position, you will oversee and manage key strategic third-party vendor relationships for the entire bank, cultivating positive working relationships with off-site vendors and the bank's relationship owners. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete vendor information in the bank's online vendor and contract platforms, coordinating with our vendor platform provider to ensure that documentation, alerts, assessments, and other activities are conducted as required. Additionally, you will manage the day-to-day activities related to onboarding new vendors and third-party relationships, assist with vendor due diligence and evaluations, and ensure that all vendor documentation is up to date and compliant with bank standards. Collaboration with other departments such as Finance, IT Security, and Operations is essential to ensure performance monitoring from third-party vendors. You will also assist in creating and updating policies and procedures for vendor management and third-party relationships, provide training on the vendor management program and platforms, and develop and distribute Vendor and Contract Reports to support department heads and vendor relationship owners. Furthermore, you will create reporting for the Vendor Management program to the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, and may support CMS activities at the discretion of the Director of Compliance. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, but it requires a strong understanding of vendor management principles, applicable laws, and regulatory guidance on Third Party Risk Management. Excellent negotiation, verbal communication, and business writing skills are essential, along with attention to detail and organizational abilities. Knowledge of Excel, data analytics, and reporting, particularly in the bank's Vendor platforms, is also required. Overall banking knowledge and experience are necessary to facilitate satisfactory compliance standards throughout the bank, and competency in working with banking regulators is expected.
