About The Position

Our VMI Technicians are responsible for implementing and maintaining the OUTLOOK Service Model to include ordering, deliveries and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs, establishing safe handling practices, efficient order processing & invoicing, initiating & executing cost reduction programs, and reporting and day-to-day customer interface at customer locations as established by the branch. In particular, you will: First point of contact with Airgas customers for all welding hard goods and safety supplies related issues regarding Vending Machines and Vendor Managed Inventory bins Order entry, process cash and charge orders; assist with reconciliation of cash and bank deposits. Conducts and coordinates area customer VMI program including delivery of product, restocking and re-supply as necessary. Approve new delivery points for accessibility and safety. Monitor customer usage and suggest adjustments to product levels to ensure maximum efficiency and product turn. Monitors inventory levels at customer sites. Maintain VMI System by cleaning, organizing and re-labeling bins. Organizes production additions and deletions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Minimum of one to three years of experience in an industrial retail, inside sales, customer service and/or inventory control related position;
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities (preferred)
