About The Position
This position serves as WIC Vendor Compliance Officer for the NC WIC Program. This position is responsible for serving as the point of contact for vendor relations regarding compliance with terms and contract stipulations, ensuring vendors adhere to applicable policies, laws and regulations and execution of punitive actions for noncompliance, assisting with cost containment measures, serving as lead person for special projects, and managing all activities of the WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). In addition, this position is responsible for the direct supervision of the Vendor Consultants within the WIC Vendor Unit, including recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, training, counseling and disciplinary action, as needed.
