About The Position

TRANSPORTS DONATED ITEMS SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY by operating non-CDL auto transport equipment (dually and trailer) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. MONITORS AND SECURES CONDITION OF TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT by conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in good working condition; logging inspection results; reporting maintenance and repair requirements; properly securing loads and ensuring all loads are within weight limits. 2. MAINTAINS RECORDKEEPING by completing tracking forms, receiving, handling, and forwarding vehicle keys and related documents; communicating with donation service center contacts, relaying any changes to appropriate vehicle program staff. 3. TRANSPORTS VEHICLE/DONATIONS TO DESTINATION SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY by communicating with logistics coordinator and donors to schedule vehicle transportation; identifying destination, selecting the route and driving the transportation equipment; maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions; properly driving or winching donated items onto and off of dually and trailer; positioning and securing vehicles. 4. MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE by completing required trainings; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. 5. PROTECTS THE CREDIBILITY OF THE RAWHIDE MISSION by complying with the Rawhide standard of conduct; setting an example, in words and actions, that is consistent with the values and beliefs of Rawhide. 6. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT by performing other duties as directed or assigned by supervisor. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Operating a non-CLD vehicle to transport equipment (dually and trailer) from one location to another - Loading and unloading donated items on and off dually and trailer - Completing required paperwork - Communicating with internal and external customers regarding delivery schedules

Requirements

  • Excellent driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to keep accurate, legible records
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
