The Vehicle Thermal Systems Hydraulic CAE and Development section is responsible for analyzing the engine cooling system in both CAE/CFD as well as lab validation. Members of the section use various CFD methods to quantify component hardware and system level design impacts on engine performance, fuel consumption, emissions, NVH, system level hydraulic response and durability to help drive the engine/ Powertrain design and address issues that arise during the engine/ Powertrain development process. Specific studies may include cooling system flow predictions, system layout and component selection, and coolant fill-deaeration. Laboratory testing of hardware and correlation to CAE models is crucial in this position. This position is a range of salary grades SG 5-8
