About The Position

As a member of IDIADA's Complete Vehicle Durability team, you would be responsible for gathering R&D vehicle data through our Data Acquisition systems to monitor and document observations on all vehicle behavior, including autonomous and driver aid systems, vehicle dynamics systems, infotainment, build quality, and more.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with a laptop and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Proficiency and knowledge of GPS systems
  • Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly articulate thoughts.
  • Must be able to follow detailed test plans (verbally or on writing)
  • Must be able to drive a passenger for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to operate and monitor ADAS and autonomous vehicle systems.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of licensed driving experience (Class C or Class A)
  • Safety Sensitive position requires all people assigned to activity be drug free and possess a valid Driver's License, and a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
  • Must be able to work various shift times, typical shifts available: Night (10 PM - 6 AM), Morning (6 AM - 2 PM), Afternoon (2 PM - 10 PM), or a variation thereof depending on project needs..
  • Must be physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment (all weather conditions).

  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean vehicle driving record.
  • Meet all workplace health and safety requirements and practices.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds able to drive passenger vehicles up to 8 hours a day.
  • Schedule: Monday to Sunday

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with ADAS features, autonomous vehicles, or professional driving highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out various driving activities on vehicles in line with customer specifications.
  • Drive and operate vehicles across pre-defined routes through various terrain and weather patterns.
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections.
  • Manage data acquisition systems to ensure accurate data retrieval through proper tagging techniques to document objects, obstacles, and anomalies found during data acquisition.
  • Drive vehicles in a safe manner and follow traffic regulations.
  • Complete reporting activities daily and on time.
  • Maintain all documentation with utmost confidentiality.
