About The Position

The Vehicle Supply Technician (VST) at AmeriPro Health is responsible for ensuring that all ambulances are fully stocked and ready for field crews. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and efficiency of medical transportation services, contributing to better patient outcomes. The VST will perform inventory checks, clean and restock ambulances, and ensure all equipment is operational, thereby supporting the overall mission of providing exceptional care to patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Emergency Medical Technician certification in good standing.
  • Current BLS/CPR healthcare provider level certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications or advanced training in emergency medical services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle inventory checks and control supplies and equipment.
  • Clean ambulances inside and outside.
  • Restock ambulance supplies daily.
  • Ensure deep cycling of monitor batteries as required.
  • Perform mechanical checks on vehicles, including fluid levels and window washer fluid.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Requisition supplies for replacement as needed.
  • Inform Supervisor of breakdowns and causes of equipment failure for repair.
  • Coordinate with fleet maintenance regarding breakdowns and reallocate ambulances to crews as necessary.
  • Document the condition of ambulances turned in and schedule preparedness for shift personnel.
  • Update crew service information on computer for equipment tracking.
  • Respond to daily phone inquiries from crews and supervisors to facilitate coordination between departments.
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow accountability processes for all equipment.
  • Make daily routes to EMS crews and various stations.
  • Perform minor IT troubleshooting as needed.
  • Complete and accurately document full inventory of items.
