In support of Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault, we are seeking a Vehicle Operator Instructor with experience in supporting the New Equipment Training (NET) efforts for the Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) and Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV).

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • At least six years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with AAV and/or ACV operations is required.
  • Must provide proof of completion of Marine Corps Instructor Development Course (IDC) or equivalent and be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language, including technical language and terms associated with the operation, operator maintenance and field level maintenance of Ordnance Vehicles and associated communications and data systems.
  • Must meet the prerequisite for training courses which require a swim qualification (WS-I), SVET and a physical fitness event.
  • Personnel shall meet the prerequisite for training courses which require a swim qualification (WS-I), Submerged Vehicle Egress Trainer (SVET) and a physical fitness event.
  • This physical fitness event requires the instructors to demonstrate the ability to lift oneself through each evacuation route of the vehicle(s), while wearing personal protective equipment (up to 50 pounds) and deadlift and hold 75 pounds for 30 seconds.
  • Successful completion of all events is required in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Failure to meet such requirements means the contractor will be unable to meet the performance requirements delineated in this contract.

  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and implement classroom and practical application curriculum for vehicle operations and operator-level routine preventative maintenance of the AAV/ACV system, subsystem, and equipment controls.
  • Maintain proficiency with AAV/ACV system and confirm to the Training Manager they are "Ready to Train" ten days prior to any instruction.
  • Assist the Training Manager by collecting student feedback for the assessment of NET effectiveness.
