About The Position

X-Bow Systems is a cutting-edge aerospace technology company revolutionizing the defense, government, and space industries. We are expanding our Supply Chain team and seeking a skilled Vehicle Operations Technician with material handling experience to support our logistics operations across multiple sites. The Vehicle Operations Technician will be the primary touch point for internal and organic shipment and distribution movements and will report to the Transportation Manager. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid CDL Class A license required
Current DOT medical card
Minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle operation and maintenance
Experience with heavy equipment operation and transportation
Familiarity with material handling and warehouse operations
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
Proficiency in using ELDs and basic computer skills
Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures
Basic vehicle mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
Excellent team dynamics, time management and communication skills
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs regularly)
Capable of sitting for extended periods while driving
Able to climb, bend and reach as required for vehicle operation and maintenance

Hazardous materials handling certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

Operate various vehicles including trucks, forklifts and heavy equipment
Perform safe loading, unloading and transportation of materials and equipment
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
Maintain accurate logs using electronic logging devices (ELDs)
Assist in planning and optimizing routes for efficient deliveries.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all vehicles
Diagnose basic repairs and routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections and tire checks as needed
Report more complex mechanical issues to fleet and transportation management
Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and meet safety standards
Adhere to all company policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements
Properly secure loads using appropriate equipment (chains, binders, straps, etc.)
Handle hazardous materials safely and reviews necessary documentation for accuracy
Maintain a clean driving record and pass regular background checks and drug screenings
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Assist in warehouse operations including receiving, storage and distribution of materials
Support accurate inventory counts and maintain inventory records
Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of storage areas
