About The Position
The Vehicle Logistics Rail Specialist is responsible for tracking, measuring, and improving carrier performance, primarily focusing on rail carriers. This role involves organizing, preparing, communicating, and presenting data related to carrier performance, including carrier scorecards and conducting regular performance reviews. The specialist will develop and communicate carrier improvement plans, provide ongoing analyses of delivery performance and transportation costs, and support the planning team in bid activities. Additionally, the role includes operational support to ports for rail carrier delays and monitoring the supply chain from railcar departure to final delivery to dealerships.
