About The Position

As part of Detection and Measurement, CUES is the world's leading developer of water, wastewater, and storm water inspection equipment. As Vehicle Assembly Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations on the assembly line, managing a team of assemblers to ensure vehicles are assembled safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate production schedules, monitor workflow, and implement process improvements while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in vehicle or industrial assembly, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Proven experience overseeing manufacturing or production operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate diverse teams to meet production goals.
  • Experience using production management systems, such as ERP or MES platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills in a team-oriented setting.
  • Must have a high level of self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily assembly line operations to meet production targets.
  • Identify areas for improvement by analyzing current processes, data, and production workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and quality control teams to resolve production issues.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate assembly team members to maintain high performance.
  • Lead daily team meetings to reinforce expectations, share best practices, and provide feedback.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide constructive, real-time coaching to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular skills assessments to identify training needs and ensure all team members meet performance and safety benchmarks.
  • Develop and implement onboarding programs for new team members to ensure a smooth integration into the production environment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma projects.
  • Engage team members in problem-solving activities and encourage a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Standardize best practices across shifts and teams to maintain consistency and improve overall operational performance.
