About The Position

Conagra Brands, a leading supplier of Birds Eye products in Darien, WI, is seeking a Veg Mix Operator to join our production team. This position plays an essential role in preparing and blending vegetable ingredients to meet production requirements while upholding quality and safety standards. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work in a fast paced environment and contribute to the success of one of Conagra’s largest manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow production schedule instructions accurately.
  • Set up and adjust veg mix equipment to meet production requirements and specifications.
  • Open, inspect, and prepare toted products for blending.
  • Operate and adjust veg mix dumpers, cluster breakers, verifeeders, conveyors, and shakers.
  • Mix vegetables in required proportions for start up, production, product changeover, and shutdown.
  • Maintain consistent and sufficient product flow to the form fillers.
  • Monitor and protect product temperatures for all ingredients.
  • Ensure required packaging materials, ingredients, and finished goods are available to support production.
  • Stop production and report any serious deviations from specifications or equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.
  • Tear down and prepare equipment for cleanup.
  • Rinse and sanitize veg mix equipment, shakers, conveyors, and paddle conveyors as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
