Summary of Job: The incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of Coordinators and Detailers in the standardization and production of all Virtual Construction Documents including Mechanical and Plumbing systems for both spatial coordination and fabrication to be utilized by the fabrication and construction operations of the company. This is a critical role that will be responsible for setting up projects prior to BIM modelling and coordination while Coaching and developing personnel and enforcing standards to ensure consistency across all projects. This position will supervise Coordinators and Detailers of HVAC, Plumbing and Piping disciplines. It oversees team productivity, time management, group standards and quality.
Requirements
- Experience in leadership and direct supervision of technical personnel.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction based mechanical design and fabrication.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication CADMEP and Autodesk Navisworks or any other BIM software is a plus
- A working familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and ability to be trained in use of the Company-specific applications and software
