VDC Modeler - CAD Technician

Location: Ideally, this is a Hybrid role based out of Newport News, VA HQ. Hybrid Schedule is 3 days in Office (usually T, W, Th) and 2 days Remote (usually M, F). We will consider Remote for the right person who is not located in the Newport News, VA area.
Requirements
- 1-3 years or more of related work experience preferred
- Experience with the Autodesk Construction Cloud (AutoCAD, Revit, Glue, Navisworks Manage, etc.) and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn mechanical & plumbing construction practices and understanding of Building Codes for Mechanical and Plumbing/Piping Systems
Responsibilities
- Model all trade layout per contract documents
- Work closely with VDC Specialist to resolve clashes
- Participate in coordination meetings
- Follow BIM processes and standards
- Produce shop drawings and other drafting deliverables
- Follow the BIM Execution Plan and internal coordination process
- Building/Manipulating Revit Families
- Tracking any VDC issues throughout the coordination process
