Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VDC Manager to join our VDC team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in researching and developing industry best practices to influence our corporate VDC policies and strategies. This individual will also develop and manage VDC metrics across corporate departments and projects to measure the success of various VDC initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in BIM management, VDC, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of VDC processes and workflows.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing BIM and VDC strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CM-BIM, PMP, or similar.
  • Experience in large-scale construction projects.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in the construction industry (e.g., AI, AR/VR, IoT).

Responsibilities

  • Research and Development:
  • Conduct thorough research on industry best practices in BIM and VDC.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders and attend relevant conferences and workshops to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies.
  • Develop and document best practices to enhance corporate VDC policies and strategies.
  • Policy and Strategy Influence:
  • Work closely with the Director of VDC to integrate industry best practices into corporate policies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on VDC strategies.
  • Ensure that VDC policies align with overall corporate goals and objectives.
  • Metrics Development and Management:
  • Develop comprehensive VDC metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of various initiatives.
  • Collaborate with different departments to gather data and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Analyze metrics to identify areas of improvement and success stories.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Project Support:
  • Provide BIM support and guidance to project teams.
  • Ensure that BIM standards and protocols are adhered to across all projects.
  • Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and resolve any BIM-related issues.
  • Responsible for attending weekly client meetings for assigned projects as the main point of contact between the client and BIM team.
  • Training and Mentorship:
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff on BIM and VDC best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative learning environment.
