About The Position
DPR Construction is seeking a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Project Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and support of VDC processes across the region. The primary objective of this role is to support established VDC initiatives leveraged by project teams both in the office and in the field. This includes supporting model-based project management, process workflows, and the deployment of construction technology for DPR business units. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and supporting VDC coordination kick-off meetings and subsequent meetings, configuring project sites to host BIM data or other equitable platforms, and performing VDC work while assisting project personnel with VDC processes, including technical support issues. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, demonstrating flexibility and attention to detail. They will be expected to multi-task effectively, produce quality deliverables, and meet project-based deadlines. Strong technical skills are essential, including basic to intermediate knowledge of Autodesk software packages such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, as well as familiarity with Autodesk BIM 360 Build products. The candidate should also possess the ability to quickly learn new software tools and teach others, communicate ideas effectively, and execute VDC operations and processes on a single project efficiently. Candidates should have a background in architecture, engineering, or construction, with experience in RFI and submittal processes, MEP coordination, and a strong technical foundation. An associate's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the AECO industry, is required, along with 1-3 years of experience in a Precon, Operations, or VDC-related role.
