Future Bylt is seeking a highly qualified VDC Engineer I to join our team. Candidates should possess an understanding of construction technology and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in construction projects.

Requirements

  • Candidates must meet at least one of the following qualifications: AS or BS degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction program.
  • 2+ years of experience in drafting, BIM content creation, and BIM Coordination.
  • More than 1 year experience in the construction industry.
  • VDC works sample portfolio required and/or project list.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of BIM software applications: 3D Native Modeling (Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Infraworks), 3D Coordination (Navisworks, Revizto, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360), 4D Simulation (Fuzor), PointCloud (Recap), 2D Drawings (Bluebeam), and Game Engine (Twinmotion and Unreal).
  • Adobe Suite (Premiere and After Effects) is a plus.
  • Computational language: Dynamo, Python, and C# will be beneficial.
  • Business Intelligence: Power BI will be beneficial.
  • Training and education of VDC programs and processes.
  • Developing construction process visual graphics and animation for field operation, marketing, and proposals.
  • Basic project management and the construction process/workflow.
  • Process-oriented, timely, and accountable to commitments/deadlines.
  • Team builder attitude, self-motivated problem solver, active cross-communicator/facilitator.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, action-oriented, and effective listener.
  • Familiarity with construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Some regional office travel is required.
  • Drug test, background check, and eligibility to work in the U.S. required.

Responsibilities

  • Support and partner with the Project VDC Lead.
  • Assist in creating and updating 3D models using tools like Revit, Civil 3D, or Sketchup.
  • Generate 2D drawings and construction documents from models.
  • Implement Future Bylt BIM/VDC coordination processes on assigned projects including participating and/or leading conflict resolution.
  • Develop and maintain BIM/VDC coordination schedules and meeting minutes on assigned projects.
  • Support and partner with the Regional VDC Manager.
  • Assist on marketing purpose renderings and animation development for internal and external marketing needs.
  • Assist in developing construction process visual graphics and animation for field operation, marketing, and proposals.
  • Assist on project-level VDC software training to expand VDC adaptation across the region.
