About The Position

DPR Construction is seeking a Virtual Design & Construction, Project Engineer, for our Self-Perform Team. The successful candidate will facilitate the creation of detailed concrete models for projects across the Southeast. Primary objectives for the candidate are to support Precon, Construction, and Field Operations. In addition to project support; the candidate will also support regional and national VDC efforts that will continue to push the model to the field, train project members, and drive implementation of construction technology across the DPR Business Units.

Requirements

• Intermediate to proficient knowledge of Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect.
• Basic to Intermediate level software knowledge of Autodesk packages (i.e.: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) or other relevant platforms.
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of field layout workflows.
• Understanding of rebar or formwork modeling.
• Ability to quickly learn new software tools and train others.
• Ability to work in a flat-organization environment that requires full transparency and team collaboration.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with RFI’s and submittal process.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the creation of detailed concrete models for projects.
• Support Precon, Construction, and Field Operations.
• Support regional and national VDC efforts.
• Train project members on VDC processes.
• Drive implementation of construction technology across DPR Business Units.
• Configure project site to host BIM data or other platforms.
• Effectively execute and multi-task VDC operations and processes.
