Summary We are hiring two VDC Designers to support hyperscale data center projects. You will create and manage detailed shop drawings, prefab layouts, redlines, and material takeoffs, and you will document cable pathways and support structures to ensure accuracy, constructability, and consistency across our programs.

Requirements

Hyperscale data center experience (infrastructure and cabling) (multi‑hall/campus builds).
Hands-on experience designing/documenting structured cabling systems (fiber & copper), MMR/MDF/IDF room layouts, and overhead/underfloor cable pathways in mission‑critical environments.
Working knowledge of conveyance pathway support detailing.
2+ years in CAD/VDC design for telecom or data center projects.
Strongly Proficiency with Bluebeam (advanced markup sets, takeoffs)
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Ability to read/interpret multidisciplinary construction drawings and specifications.
High attention to detail; strong communication and organization.
Knowledge of all components and subassemblies within low-voltage systems, conveyance, and infrastructure to ensure complete and accurate bills of material.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Revit/Navisworks is a plus.
Experience supporting prefabrication/modular delivery.
Associate degree or technical certification in CAD/VDC, or equivalent field experience in data center infrastructure and cabling.

Responsibilities

Produce shop drawings, prefab drawings, redlines and coordinated plan sets in Bluebeam.
Perform material takeoffs and compile bills of material for structured cabling and pathway systems.
Design and document cable tray, conduit, support structures, and waterfall/dropouts for hyperscale builds.
Coordinate with PMs/CMs/field teams to align design intent with site conditions; maintain as-builts through turnover.
Support prefabrication workflows by delivering precise prefab packages and installation details.
Ensure compliance with TIA, BICSI, NEC, and client-specific standards for telecom infrastructure.
Contribute to—and help standardize—our organizational processes for cable pathway documentation and VDC standards.
Participate in coordination meetings; resolve field/design issues quickly with clear documentation.
Produce clear, accurate, and detailed drawings ensuring that they are technician-friendly for on-site execution.
