Brake Press Operator Full Time Tukwila, WA If you are a forward-thinker interested in production, then keep reading! We are searching for one detail oriented Brake Press Operator to join our Vertical Dimensions team at Vantage Elevation. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience operating autofold, laser, press brake/turret or other metal fabrication tools
  • Good knowledge of fabrication machinery, electrical equipment, and hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to use tape measures and other measuring tools
  • Read and understand work orders and job schedules
  • Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to effectively read, write and speak the English language
  • Ability to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat and lift
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently, & lift 70 pounds occasionally

Nice To Haves

  • Use welding and other metal processing equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safe operation of autofold, press brake, shear and various other tools used to complete project.
  • Create quality and accurate cuts/bends/folds according to blueprints.
  • Cut and label all sheet metal for jobs on the floor.
  • Use welding and other metal processing equipment a plus.
  • Use measuring equipment such as tape measure, micrometer, calipers, square, protractor, etc…
  • Performs basic math and verifies job requirements, specifications, and maintains quality standards.
  • Follow and enforce all VDI safety rules and regulations
  • Ensure equipment is properly set-up & used in a safe manner & that all safety devices are in use.
  • Operate fork lift, if required and certified.
  • Performs inspections on product before, during, and after the build following VDI’s standards.
  • Monitor functionality of equipment and tools and request maintenance when required.
  • Perform basic and preventative maintenance and repair as required.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors & other production staff to coordinate work schedules
  • Other duties as assigned.
