About The Position

Virtual Chief Technology Officer (VCTO) Redapt Inc. is a pioneering data center infrastructure integrator, technology engineering firm, and cloud services provider. Our teams deliver innovative solutions that power demanding applications and extract powerful insights from data to drive true business value. As a Virtual Chief Technology Officer (vCTO) on our team, we’re looking for you to provide world-class executive advisory services as well as support the Redapt sales team in pre-sales calls and meetings, speak at events, attend or lead podcasts/fireside chats. The vCTO engages in thought leadership, new solution development and continuously builds expertise to Redapt’s solutions. Your primary role as a vCTO is to assist the sales, services and implementation teams with hands-on leadership and mentoring, be a close collaborator to ensure that we deliver forward thinking, high-quality, robust, and scalable technology solutions. You will be a thought-leader, with real work experience, and the ability to collaborate across functions. We believe an ideal candidate has 10+ years' experience as a CTO, CIO, VP of Technology or Development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure (IT) or software engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years in an IT management role, preferably working independently.
  • A demonstrated record of successful IT management and projects at a variety of companies.
  • Intimate understanding of strategic planning and technological alignment process.
  • Understanding of technology evaluation strategy, budget management and risk management.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with various stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business functions, challenges, and solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest technological advancements and continuously improving skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand overall business need, sharing future trends to align technology strategies with customer goals.
  • Innovation: Ability to communicate and build excitement around technological innovation that would be helpful for the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and pre-sales leadership to customers and stakeholders.
  • Consult with customers on new and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and implement technology strategies that align with the customers business goals.
  • Review client’s current technology maturity and posture against future goals
  • Assist with identifying gaps and developing a program maturity roadmap with the client.
  • Mentor customer technology teams, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver thoughtful, insightful, and professional presentations to customers.
  • Align emerging technologies with client technology and business goals.
  • Analyze and evaluate technological risks and provide feedback on current technology policies, procedures, and plans.
  • Assess the effectiveness of client technology measures and controls.
  • Evaluate and manage technological risks, including cybersecurity threats and compliance issues.
  • Provide pre-sales support to Sales in assessing customer needs, scoping engagements, and estimating the level of effort for consulting projects or managed services engagements.
