More about us: https://www.hach.com/about-us The VAVE Project Engineer III reports to the Senior Manager, Value Analysis/Value Engineering. You will be a member of the Loveland Operations VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) team and will be responsible for executing VAVE projects through all funnel stages (identification, valuation, scoping/assessment, execution, release to production and closure). This is an on-site position based in Loveland, Colorado, US.

Requirements

  • BS Degree, with 5-7 years of experience minimum in a component/system design engineering role
  • Project-based execution with tight deadlines and priority constraints with proven results.
  • Technical acumen in design for quality/manufacturability, component design and assembly, GD&T, materials selection, and systems design.
  • Experience in design & qualification in several manufacturing methods such as injection molding, machining, sheet metal, PCBA & PCB manufacturing.
  • Financial analysis skills, BOM analysis & definition, component pricing, assembly costing, overhead cost modeling
  • Works to help identify supplier manufacturing process improvements and or quality of supplier components and processes that can be translated to a direct PPV positive impact.
  • Execute Insource, Resource, and Dual-source Projects of Supplier Components and products with a positive PPV impact.
  • Experience in general component and assembly design from concept to qualification to manufacturing transfer.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential VAVE projects and develop preliminary Business Cases for evaluation and prioritization
  • Drive VAVE projects from identification to closure
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across all funnel stages to advance in a timely manner
  • Indirectly manage/influence cross functional project resources to complete deliverables
  • Develop and Document VAVE team process/standard work and continuous improvement
  • Advocate and educate VAVE as a process to the broader organization
  • Act as a technical and process resource to VAVE Project Engineers II, inside and outside the VAVE team.
