About The Position
The Vault Technician position at Memorial Monuments in Glendive, Montana, involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the respectful and dignified handling of burial vaults. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision while maintaining a clean and professional appearance. The technician will be expected to work flexible hours, including weekends, and must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. The position demands a detail-oriented approach, as the technician will be responsible for various physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. In this role, the technician will be tasked with closing and lowering vaults after services, which may involve assisting the gravedigger with shoveling dirt. They will also prepare concrete burial vaults as ordered, load, transport, and unload these vaults using company vehicles, and install them into graves. Additionally, the technician will assemble and disassemble grave site tents, prepare for graveside services by arranging chairs and covers, and maintain daily reports, including pre-trip and post-trip logs. It is crucial for the technician to maintain a clean and organized delivery truck, warehouse, and shop, ensuring that all work functions are performed timely, correctly, and safely. The Vault Technician will play a vital role in providing a safe, clean, respectful, and dignified burial presentation for families and guests at the grave site. Effective communication with the plant manager regarding any service-related exceptions or issues is also a key responsibility of this position.
