About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for company assets on an assigned shift. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Adheres strictly to all gaming regulations. Prepares daily deposit. Counts all drops from Hardcount & Softcount. Attends all mandatory meetings and training. Reconciles all Jackpots, Fills, tickets and coupons on daily basis. Posts daily cash summary. Refills, verifies, and reconciles Kiosks. Provides Blackjack pit with chip fills & credits and maintains Table Games Summary. Prepares EME’s for Vault Cashiers. Forwards all original documents to Accounting. Works all positions as needed. Prepares W2-G and 1099 forms as needed. Maintains all logs pertaining to Title 31 requirements. Accounts for all currency received or exchanged. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Requirements

  • Previous vault cashier experience a must
  • Excellent mathematical, public relations and communications skills
  • Computer & 10 key knowledge helpful and understanding of equipment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Must meet State Compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check, and submit to random drug testing
  • Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time
  • Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Six months experience as a Vault Cashier
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing
