About The Position

Summary of Duties: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards. Position Purpose: To provide accurate records for the inventory of cash funds held for the Casino. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Maintain a zero-balance cash drawer at the end of each shift. Prepare and forward all paperwork to accounting in a timely manner. Learn the duties and responsibilities of the cage cashier clerk in order to perform cashier services when needed. Become knowledgeable of and perform all duties in compliance with Title 31 regulations and departmental procedures. Report all variances to the shift supervisor. Promptly and tactfully respond to guest requests and complaints Communicate all guest complaints and suggestions to the Cage & Vault Manager. Responsible for securing and maintaining monies and other items of cash value. Be familiar with casino events and promotions in order to accurately inform guests. Comply with tip reporting procedures. Obtain and maintain a gaming license. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous extensive cash handling experience required.
  • Computer Skills required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  • Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily.
  • Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
