About The Position

The Echo Sonographer III position involves performing comprehensive ultrasound exams while adhering to established protocols. The role requires verifying patient identity, educating patients, and ensuring their safety during procedures. The sonographer is responsible for completing clerical tasks related to ultrasound tests, maintaining patient privacy, and ensuring timely reporting of critical results. Effective communication with physicians, patients, and other personnel is essential, as is fostering a teamwork environment. The sonographer must maintain a clean work area, manage equipment needs, and engage in personal and professional development. This position also includes advanced skills in vascular technology and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Registry through CCI or ARDMS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems.
