About The Position

The position involves performing comprehensive ultrasound exams while following established protocols to ensure patient safety and education. The role requires effective communication with physicians, patients, and other personnel, as well as maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. The candidate will also be responsible for clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests and will engage in continuous professional development and quality assurance initiatives.

Requirements

• Registry through CCI or ARDMS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems.

Nice To Haves

• ASE Member.
• Experience in educational activities and presentations.
• Participation in shared governance committees.
• Experience with IAC and QI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams following established protocols.
• Verifies identity and informs patients during procedures to ensure education, cooperation, and safety.
• Completes clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, ensuring accurate and timely recording of information.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, patients, and other center personnel.
• Maintains a pleasant and informative manner in communication.
• Enhances teamwork and demonstrates personal accountability in daily duties.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner, cleaning patient areas after each use.
• Identifies own learning needs and responds to department needs by attending in-services and meetings.
• Consistently seeks opportunities to learn new technology and expand knowledge and skills.
