Vascular technologists assist doctors to determine a patient’s vascular health. They prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, conduct noninvasive examinations, and review ultrasound images.  The incumbent will carry-out her/his duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of Three Crosses Regional Hospital, and fully supports the mission, vision, and values of Three Crosses Regional Hospital. The incumbent will have knowledge of health care systems, and have demonstrated ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of a diverse workforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in vascular sonography or related field.
  • Meet all Employee Health Requirement
  • State Licensed Registered Vascular Technologist
  • AHA BLS
  • Certified by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance with overall practice standards and adhering to the established values of Three Crosses Regional Hospital, i.e. customer service, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Explain the ultrasound procedures to patients.
  • Prepare treatment areas for examination and positioning patients.
  • Ensures delivery of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Preparing and providing summarized findings to physicians in a timeous manner.
  • Handling hazardous substances and biological waste as prescribed, as well as sterilizing equipment.
  • Documenting processes and maintaining patient records.
  • Revises plan of patient as needed.
  • Provides compassion to the patient and the patient’s family members.
  • Attend staff meetings as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
