About The Position

Meets all requirements of a Vascular Sonographer I Ladder. The Vascular Sonographer I is responsible for performing vascular sonography which assists physicians in the diagnosis of medical conditions in patients. This position may require participation in call rotation and call-back testing based on location.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a 2–4-year Allied Health training program required.
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
  • Vascular registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT); or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS), required. New graduates must obtain registry within (6) months of hire.
  • Must be available for participation in call rotation of call back testing if required at work location.
  • Must have the physical, mental and technical skills necessary to perform diagnostic testing of all ages, neonatal through adult, as required.
  • Ability to communicate with physicians, peers and patients on a professional and technical level.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years training experience in Vascular Ultrasound preferred.
  • Experience with carotid, abdominal aorta, visceral, renal artery, lower & upper extremity arterial, venous insufficiency exams, hemodialysis imaging and ABIs is preferred.
  • Recent graduates of accredited sonography programs are encouraged to apply.
