About The Position

Overview Job Summary: Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values . Performs ultrasound examinations of the peripheral vessels to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the vascular system.

Requirements

• RVT or RVS eligible.
• BLS certified.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer 1-2 years experience

Responsibilities

• Knowledgable of and selects appropriate ultrasound equipment for vascular procedures.
• Monitors sound waves for quality of ultrasonic patterns and documents on appropriate media to obtain a permanent record of examiniation.
• Consults with physicians as required regarding collection of test data and critical test results.
• Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
• Inspects equipment daily to ensure it is operating effectively.
• Reports malfunctions.
• Collaborates effectively with other members of healthcare team concerning pertinent patient information and interventions needed.
• Completes other duties or task as assigned.
