About The Position

Overview Job Summary: Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values . Performs general, OB, and vascular ultrasound scans to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the patient.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Must be registered with ARDMS and/or CCI as registered RVT and/or RVS.
• BLS certified.

Nice To Haves

• Experience: Prefer minimum 3 years’ experience, this employee will be working independently

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of and selects appropriate ultrasound equipment for general, OB, and vascular procedures.
• Monitors sound waves for quality of ultrasonic patterns and documents on appropriate media to obtain a permanent record of examination.
• Consults with physicians as required regarding collection of test data and critical test results.
• Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
• Inspects equipment daily to ensure it is operating effectively.
• Reports malfunctions.
• Collaborates effectively with other members of healthcare team concerning pertinent patient information and interventions needed.
• Completes other duties or task as assigned.
