Requirements

• Certified by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers ARDMS (RVT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography ARRT (VS).
• All sonographers must obtain certification within twelve months of eligibility or cross training.
• Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate from an accredited ultrasound, vascular technology program.
• Registered Vascular Technologist with two (2) years vascular related experience.
• Performs extracranial cerebrovascular, peripheral venous, peripheral arterial and visceral exams.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily operations of the vascular laboratory.
• Perform high quality diagnostic non-invasive vascular examinations involving disorders affecting the vascular systems.
• Provide accurate medical descriptions and preliminary interpretations (verbal and written) for physician review.
• Operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
