About The Position

Inova Schar Heart & Vascular is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible
Vascular Surgeon to join our expanding, nationally recognized team of surgeons
within a high-volume, multidisciplinary practice serving Northern Virginia’s
broad and growing catchment area.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise across the full spectrum of vascular
surgery. This individual will play a key role in advancing our clinical
excellence while contributing to the continued growth of our nationally
recognized program through innovation, research, and teaching initiatives.

Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience: successful completion of ACGME residency training in General Surgery and subsequent fellowship with ABS board certification or board eligibility in Vascular Surgery
• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) or ACLS upon start.
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services

Responsibilities

• Clinic / Operating room / Hospital consults
• Weekend call (local and primary for the system)
• Weekday call
• Clinic – weekly outpatient clinics
• Surgical – opportunity to grow a robust practice
• Participate in a growing diagnostic vascular lab system
• All facets of vascular therapy
