About The Position

The Vascular Sonographer is responsible for performing non-invasive vascular procedures including ultrasound and physiologic vascular testing on patients of every age in accordance to the IAC and SVU recommended guidelines. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting physicians in procedures such as thrombin injection and must be knowledgeable in all equipment and supplies that are used in the department. The Vascular Sonographer contributes to the excellence of care by utilizing AnMed's mission, vision and building blocks to guide them. They recognize themselves as an important part of a team in providing excellent quality care to the patient.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with registry certification OR is currently enrolled in or graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Current Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registry certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) registry certification from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or registry eligible.
• If not currently registered, incumbent must obtain RVT or RVS registry within six months from date of hire.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and produce quality images and store and retrieve digital images as required.

Nice To Haves

• Bonus if incumbent also carries a RDCS/RCS registry certification or is RDCS/RCS registry eligible.
• Clinical experience or instruction in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging and experience in a non-invasive cardiovascular lab preferred.
