About The Position

The position involves conducting adult ultrasound scans on various patients, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. The role requires collaboration with healthcare providers and clinic staff to maintain efficient clinic operations. The ultrasound technologist will be responsible for performing examinations with a keen understanding of anatomy and physiology, recognizing artifacts, and utilizing equipment effectively. Additionally, the role includes documenting measurements and reports through Onepacs and EMR systems, as well as educating patients and their families about the procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in Vascular Ultrasounds
• RVT Certification, ARRT Certification, ARDMS/RDMS Certification
• Ability to maintain composure under stress, using tactical and good judgment
• Demonstrate analytical decision-making skills; ability to quickly assess and resolve technical and patient care problems
• Ability to work both independently and as a care team member
• Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct adult ultrasound scans on various patients
• Collaborate and communicate with the provider regarding clinical assessments and the clinic staff to ensure smooth flow within clinic operations
• Perform examinations, recognizing the significance of all structures that are visualized, differentiating artifacts from appropriate images, while recognizing the limitations of equipment and utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Responsible for uploading and documenting measurements/reports through Onepacs systems and our EMR system
• Educate patients and families of safe and appropriate testing; thoroughly explaining procedures, answering questions and calming concerns
• Other duties as assigned
