Upon the order of a qualified healthcare provider, the Vascular/Echo Ultrasound Technologist will operate equipment using high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Cardiology Department and KelseySeybold Clinic to perform vascular and/or cardiac sonography. The Ultrasound Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS) as is applicable. May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties. These procedures may include EKGs, contrast echocardiograms, and report generation. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
  • RVT or RVS and RDCS or RCS BCLS certification through American Red Cross
  • 5+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech and performing vascular and echocardiography studies OR 3+ years of Kelsey specific Ultrasound experience
  • Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience
  • Willing to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab Supervisor or Cardiology Lab Manager
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in related healthcare field or Bachelor's degree in related health field
  • 5+ years of experience performing vascular and/or echocardiography Cardiology Ultrasound and Flow Lab equipment familiarity
  • PACS and RIS experience
  • Bilingual
