About The Position

The Vascular Clinical Specialist is responsible for creating patient-specific stent-graft design specifications following internal guidelines and individual patient data. This role also involves providing technical training and implant support to customers and Bolton Medical Inc. personnel. Key aspects include custom stent-graft design, acting as a liaison between customers and various internal departments (Customer Service, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Research and Development), and ensuring quality system compliance for all departmental responsibilities. The specialist will consult with physicians and sales specialists on patient selection, diagnostic imaging analysis, and pre-implant strategies for the Bolton Medical Inc. vascular stent-graft system. A significant portion of the role involves training customers on the safe and efficacious use of Relay Stent-Graft and delivery systems, providing technical explanations and demonstrations, and offering support during surgeries and implants, including troubleshooting. The position requires domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Create patient specific stent-graft design specification using internal guidelines, and individual patient data
  • Provide technical training and implant support for customers and Bolton Medical Inc. personnel
  • Creation of patient specific stent-graft systems, including design of the stent-graft based on input from the physician and/or Bolton Medical Inc units, sizing, creation of stent-graft configuration in schematic format utilizing AutoCAD, assignment of springs and delivery system components, and required options and physician requested features
  • Liaison for customer (direct – physicians and indirect – business units and distributors) to Customer Service, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance, and Research and Development
  • Interface/correspond with physicians/clinicians and Bolton Medical Inc. to address specific issues relating to stent-graft design specifications
  • Monitor/expedite turnaround time for patient specific stent-graft systems
  • Ensure quality system compliance for all departmental responsibilities
  • Consult with physicians and sales specialists to determine acceptable patient selection, diagnostic imaging analysis and pre-implant strategy for the Bolton Medical Inc. vascular stent-graft system
  • Travel 25-40% of the time domestically and internationally
  • Train customers on the safe and efficacious use of Relay Stent-Graft and delivery systems
  • Provide technical explanation and demonstration of products to customers
  • Consult with physicians and laboratory staff during implants
  • Represent Bolton Medical Inc. during surgeries and implants of products to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance
  • Deliver on site training programs for customers or institutions
  • Assist in developing training materials
  • Provide training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel (“train the trainer”)
