We are seeking a Vascular Access Territory Manager (Sales) to represent BD's Vascular Access Product Portfolio in the Baltimore acute healthcare market segment. This position will have exposure to BD’s entire Vascular Access products with a primary focus on PIVC (peripherally inserted venous catheter), PIVC with guidewire, midlines, PICC’s (peripherally inserted central catheters), and enabling technologies. The primary call points include IV Therapy, ER, Nursing, Infection Prevention, Materials Management, Value Analysis, in addition to other Nursing departments. This territory would require current residence in the stated geography with no relocation available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Two to three (2-3) years of outside sales experience or equivalency required
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meetings, industry conferences, tradeshows, as needed.
  • Demonstrated human relation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the duties and responsibilities.
  • Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
  • Ability to understand new products and use.
  • Surgical procedure knowledge, adequate to illustrate our product benefits.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, medical and surgical terminology.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Understands contract administration.
  • Ability to effectively build and sustain professional relationships externally and internally.

Responsibilities

  • Sells the entire product line to current and new accounts
  • Informs customers of new and current pricing, backorders, and company policies
  • Effects comprehensive in-service of products to all concerned individuals
  • Plans sales calls on a continuous basis, managing sales time effectively
  • Develops thorough knowledge of all products
  • Informs District Manager of significant market changes and competitive activity
  • Resolves customer complaints in accordance and analyzes customer needs and creates solutions
  • Uses Clinical Specialist to effectively in-service/ train appropriate customers
  • Complete all administrative duties associated with position in a timely fashion
  • Attain sales goals established by the company
  • Developing business commensurate with the buying potential of the territory
  • Cultivating new and existing customers to establish long-term mutually beneficial
  • Work a flexible work schedule and travel to meet the needs of customers
  • Work closely with National Account Managers and Corporate RVPs regarding accounts within assigned geography
  • Sell all new products launched by the Division
