About The Position

The Vascular Access Nurse Consultant at VIC the PICC is responsible for providing specialized vascular access consulting services, including the insertion of vascular access devices and post-access support. Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care preferred.
• Experience with a variety of vascular access device placements using ultrasound.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound and ECG confirmation.
• Assist with the management of PICCs and vascular access devices.
• Provide a wide range of vascular access support services, including port access, line removal, and declotting.
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other central venous access devices (CVADs).
• Travel to various customer facilities to provide services as needed.
