About The Position

As a CBRE VAS First Vice President, you will be responsible for independently preparing market value appraisals on real estate assets, ensuring high-quality work with oversight from a Managing Director or Senior MD. This role involves mentoring trainees, developing client relationships, and contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of commercial appraisal experience and 3 years of commercial appraisal review experience.
• General State Certification/License and MAI designation required.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret business documents.
• Strong writing skills for reports and manuals.
• Above-average knowledge of financial real estate terms and principles.
• Complete understanding of approaches to value real estate assets.
• Proficiency in Argus, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Institutional review experience is a plus.
• Ability to respond to critical issues and solve advanced problems.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze property information by collecting, verifying, and analyzing data regarding similar properties, sales, listings, and market conditions.
• Identify value to be estimated by discussing appraisal requests and project scopes with clients.
• Determine valuation methods by selecting appropriate approaches and techniques for valuing property.
• Prepare detailed appraisal reports that describe property characteristics, appraisal procedures, and supportive reasoning.
• Sell appraisal work to clients and contribute to business development efforts.
• Maintain the organization's reputation by adhering to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
• Mentor trainees and engage in client development activities.
