About The Position

The basic functions of the Assistant Warehouse Manager-Retail
Fulfillment position responsibilities is the managing of our daily retail
fulfillment operations of the warehouse(s) on their designated shift, to include
scheduling warehouse worker hours, inbound and outbound loading, Inventory
Control, Maintenance of warehouse equipment and warehouse housekeeping.

Requirements

• Warehouse management experience with additional background in VAS/light assembly.
• Solid experience in Excel, data entry, and general computer skills.
• Experienced in managing a staff of 30 or more employees and multiple shifts.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse operation.
• Good communication.
• Leadership and management abilities.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Motivational and goal setting expertise.
• Ability to Define and resolve problems.
• Effective Communicator with customers and other Company Managers.
• Organizational and scheduling skills

• Flexibility in working overtime when needed and supplying coverage to other shifts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of management experience.
• Experienced in Warehousing Management
• Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to be on feet for full shift (8 hours).
• Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
• Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Nice To Haves

• College Degree Preferred or extensive background in production/warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Executing root cause investigations.
• Monitoring and ensuring production matches lead-times
• Assisting manager in pricing out projects, laying out production lines, and adjusting layout as needed.
• Sitting in on internal and external customer sales meetings or calls.
• Provide management with financial reporting and oversight.
• Ordering supplies weekly to ensure all materials for projects are on hand
• Managing multiple projects, executed at multiple facilities.
• Ensures all paperwork from previous day's work is complete and distributed to proper departments.
• Conducts periodic dock safety checks.
• Keeps track of warehouse customer's inventory by computer and complete physical inventory counts.
• Ensures timely processing of warehouse customer orders, bill preparation and inventory control.
• Oversee the picking of orders from the warehouse and the staging or loading of the orders.
• Managing warehouse personnel, scheduling work hours, personnel issues, performance reviews, and all disciplinary actions.
• Ensure all training of fork-lift operators on the procedures for handling company freight and specific requirements for handling customer's freight.
• Manage warehouse space and maximize usage of warehouse layout.
• Ensure warehouse is kept clean and organized at all times and know that all food safety requirements are met.
