About The Position

Middletown Christian Schools is looking for a coach who embraces our vision, mission, and core values. We are a ministry of Grace Baptist Church and seek to be a Christ-centered educational institution that teaches from a biblical worldview. A person who seeks this position should be one who is convinced that God has called him/her to the ministry of coaching in a Christian school. Spiritual Maturity: Publicly profess a faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Actively engage in the life and ministry of a local church. Pursue a life of spiritual development through regular study of scripture and prayer. Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit as a byproduct of a growing faith. Believe and support the school’s statement of faith (Statement of Grace Baptist Church). Agree to abide by the Lifestyle Statement. Coaching Qualities : Should have complete knowledge of the sport The ability to teach fundamentals, skills, rules, and regulations of the sport Be able to organize, plan, and execute practice sessions Demonstrates strong leadership in sportsmanship, integrity, and character development Detail orientated Have the desire and ability to establish rapport with student athletes and their families Must be familiar with all safety regulations (i.e. Lindsay’s Law)

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Ohio pupil activity permit (may be obtained after hire)
• Acceptable BCI and FBI report
• Complete knowledge of the sport
• The ability to teach fundamentals, skills, rules, and regulations of the sport
• Be able to organize, plan, and execute practice sessions
• Demonstrates strong leadership in sportsmanship, integrity, and character development
• Detail orientated
• Have the desire and ability to establish rapport with student athletes and their families
• Must be familiar with all safety regulations (i.e. Lindsay’s Law)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for issuing, maintaining, and collecting of equipment
• Supervision of student athletes
• Perform duties as assigned that may not appear on this job description
• Follow the instructions and perform the duties required by their supervisor, appointing authority, or designee.
