Varsity Swim Head Coach
About The Position
Ashland High School is seeking a head coach for swimming for the 2026-27 season. Ashland’s coaches are actively engaged in the community, and embrace both the mission and values of the Athletic Department and APS School District. The role of the Varsity Swim coach is to be responsible for coaching, character development and providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork in swimming. This job requires you to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community and well as follow the mission of the school. Positive communication strategies, organizational skills, and safety awareness are key requirements. The Varsity Swim Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director.
Requirements

- Available to practice after school, weekends and evenings
- Commitment to program
- CPR/First Aid Certified
Nice To Haves
- Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the high school level or above is preferred
