About The Position
The Varsity Softball Head Coach at I.C. Norcom High School is responsible for leading and developing the school's softball program. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. The head coach will be expected to implement training programs, develop game strategies, and ensure that all players understand the rules and skills necessary for success in the sport. The coach will also be responsible for promoting good sportsmanship and teamwork among players, while maintaining a focus on the overall development of the program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching and a desire to mentor young athletes, helping them to achieve their personal and team goals. In addition to coaching responsibilities, the head coach will be involved in administrative tasks related to the program, including scheduling practices and games, coordinating with other coaches and school staff, and communicating with parents and the community. The coach will also be expected to adhere to all VHSL rules and regulations, ensuring that the program operates within the guidelines set forth by the governing body. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire and motivate student-athletes, while also being a positive role model both on and off the field.
