About The Position

Oversee all aspects of the Western Cheer Program, including but not limited to: Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders Consult and Advise Feeder Programs-Middle School and Youth Leagues Mega Cheer/Youth Spirit Camps Camp for HS Cheerleaders Order Uniforms, Shoes, Apparel for HS Cheer Pep Rally's/Community Events End of Year Banquet Staff Formation: Help select and vet coaches for all levels of Western Cheer Instruct coaches at lower levels on proper fundamentals and scheme Fundraising: Fundraise for needs above what the athletic department is able to provide Communication: Communicate expectations to players and parents Communicate schedules and events with players and parents Highlight the Western Cheer Program and its athletes Lead Players and Coaches: Model appropriate behavior Serve as a role model for your athletes and the student body Bench decorum will reflect a first-class program Support multi-sport athletes and work with all athletic coaches Develop a program that the Western School Community will be proud of, on and off the court Work with other coaches to develop a top tier strength and conditioning program Plan and implement summer camps while working with other coaches and athletic teams Contribute to school culture/spirit

Requirements

A passion for Education Based coaching and mentoring
Motivational and encouraging
Ability to recruit students to the sport
Create excitement around the program
Hold events that engage fans and community members
Support and attend other school functions
Organization
Create an atmosphere that is calm and harmonious
