About The Position

The Sales Associate at Variety will support the global consumer partnerships team in New York City. Requirements

• 1-2+ years of business experience (including internships)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with individuals across all different levels
• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Salesforce and Entertainment experience is a plus
• Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented

• Experience in advertising sales
• Familiarity with the entertainment industry

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients, agencies, and internal production department as main point of contact for post-sale execution of deliverables, creative, etc.
• Input print and event sponsorship insertion orders into the Salesforce system; maintain all client information in client database for billing purposes.
• Work with the Accounting department to follow up on unpaid invoices, prebilling, etc.
• Develop/produce sales and marketing materials i.e.: letters of agreement, insertion orders, etc.
• Research leads for consumer team across all platforms (print, digital, branded content & events) and update sales pipeline tracker for the consumer sales team.
• Ensure all proper approvals for creative, signage, and event collateral are obtained.
• Ideate and create event sponsorship activations, draft and execute media plans for event sponsors and on-site event assistance as needed and produce screenshot and recap deck post-sale.
