About The Position
The Morgan Hill Unified School District is seeking a qualified individual to develop, organize, and implement lesson plans in alignment with the California State Arts Standards for Public Schools. The position requires the ability to differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of individual students and the student body as a whole. The successful candidate will establish clear objectives and communicate expectations to students while maintaining a classroom climate of trust and mutual respect. Responsibilities also include monitoring student activities to provide a safe and engaging learning environment, attending weekly meetings with other elementary visual and performing arts teachers, and collaborating with site and cross-district teams to support student learning. Communication with site administrators, teachers, and the school community regarding the goals and progress of the program is essential. The candidate will also attend training and professional development as directed to deepen content knowledge and understanding of best practices. Morgan Hill Unified participates and supports the Santa Cruz/Silicon Valley New Teacher Project induction program. MHUSD will grant up to 14 years of previous accredited school experience upon employment verification.
