About The Position

The Human Resources Manager for Vans Retail will serve as a key member of the HR team, supporting the Americas region and reporting to the Director of HR Business Partner - Americas. This role involves collaborating with brand HR teams and business leadership to execute people strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on talent development, performance management, and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Human Resources experience with exposure to multiple HR disciplines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well with individuals at all levels.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence across all levels.
  • Strategic thinking regarding alignment of practices, programs, and policies.
  • Innovative thinking and resourcefulness with a creative problem-solving approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a matrixed organization is preferred.

  • Formal education and undergraduate/graduate degrees in HR or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Americas region with a focus on Enterprise Functions, aligning HR processes across the region and brand.
  • Define and implement HR strategies and drive initiatives in line with brand objectives.
  • Implement Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Advocacy (IDEA) practices to support brand strategies.
  • Ensure the correct rollout of the performance management process, including objective setting and appraisals.
  • Implement Brand Purpose and Employee Value Proposition actions to enhance the employee experience.
  • Build trust and partnerships with business leaders to understand needs and develop people strategies.
  • Serve as an advisor on all HR matters to business leaders and associates.
  • Lead talent management practices including talent identification and succession planning.
  • Utilize talent analytics to assess and address talent issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with Vans HR team and VF HR to deliver HR solutions to assigned functions.
  • Manage and analyze client group statistics to provide recommendations for improving retention.
